Summer school programme at NUM
Summer school in GIS and remote sensing in Archaeology in cooperation with NUM.
The International Jean Monnet European Summer school is organised by the Jean Monnet European Centre of the University of Trento in cooperation with the School of Political Science and Sociology of the University of Innsbruck.
The XII edition tilte is "Local and Sustainable. New forms of Development in the European and Global Context" and will take placeTrento - Innsbruck, August 21 - September 2, 2011. Participation grants are envisaged.

The European Commission is launching a call for proposals for research in Asia in the frame of 7FP. This call will enhance the EU-Asia research cooperation with a budget of 8.5 billion EUR for the first call, while 9.3 billion EUR are budgeted for the second call in July 2012.
The conference “Building Research Bridges” held last June 21 at the EU parliament in Brussels has highlighted the features of the upcoming FP7 call for proposals. Participants from European and Asian organisations, companies and research institutes discussed on the broader context of EU-Asian co-operation in research, sharing experiences and study cases to define joint policies and identify common barriers to international cooperation in order to enhance transregional R&D opportunities.

In Hanoi on April 14, the Embassy of Italy to Hanoi launched project “Y-Viet” of 14 cultural events that covering all year and containing various features of the culture and the image of Italy like music, dance, figurative arts, literature and cinema. The project aims at fostering stronger connections between Italy and Vietnam, two countries that already share a strong relations of friendship and sympathy. “Starting from those feelings, the Embassy of Italy has designed a program that will serve as a tool, not only to promote Italian culture, style and way of living in Vietnam, but also to build a bridge between the two sides, making possible a better mutual knowledge and easing the establishment of connections among artists, cultural institutions business men and women and people”, said Italian Ambassador to Vietnam Mr Enzo Angeloni.
