Mongolian hidden landscape under the blue sky 

From the hidden land to the high sky.
First International workshop of mongolian landscape archaeology and astronomy.

The conference has been held  at the Mongolia Japan Centre for Human Development in Ulaanbataar 6-7 June 2011
and is part of the working activities organised by in the frame of a BTG post doc mobility with MUST.

Mongolian hidden landscape is a new project that involve the different know- how, technology and humanities for the study of the Mongolian Landscape. The potentiality of the Mongolian cultural landscape is enormous, the huge and the different shapes of this great land is also its great resource that now is in dangerous for the local development e for the human global evolvement. The local and the human evolvement, the exploitation of the natural sources of Mongolia is necessary for is progress, step by step with the local progress the cultural heritage documentation have to go together. Remote sensing technology and GIS are the scientific tools to discover, manage and disseminate the landscape archaeological heritage data, in order to preserve and know the own history natural and human.
