The National University of Laos (NUOL) is a public university in Lao PDR, it is the first and biggest university in the country. It comprises of 10 academic faculties and 8 centers. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate educational services to the students throughout the country and also overseas students. The academic activities include teaching, research and academic services to the public.

This mobility programmes will of course provide opportunities for our staff and students to get in touch with international students and staff in order to exchange knowledge and experience and standardize our tertiary education system. We hope to gain international recognition from our partner universities and international organizations. This project will provide us benefits for the short and long terms.

We are now under the process of planning and implementing the credit transfer system within the AUN and plan for further cooperation with the international universities. We are a member of many international organization and cooperate with a large number of universities around the world.

Since we are only a 10 year old university, we are under the process of development in all aspects (human and financial resources, equipments, facilities and others), however we are able to facilitate the project successfully based on our capacity. We do have certain capabilities in both human and academic resources.
