Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang

Partner - Lot 12

The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (Indonesia) was founded in 1964, at present it has 20.173 students coming from all provinces of Indonesia and some other countries (Malaysia, Singapore, Timor Leste, Thailand, Australia, China, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Poland, Germany, and South Africa).

The University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM ) is recognized as one of the most rapidly growing and leading private universities in East Java; therefore, the Central Board of Muhammadiyah Organization entrusts UMM to supervise all Muhammadiyah higher institutions in eastern parts of Indonesia. UMM has expanded its campus areas into three campuses which are located in three different locations.

As a long-established private university, UMM possesses competitiveness of the experience in organizing independent higher educational institution. In addition, UMM also has strong partnerships with many national and international institutions. UMM students are not only equipped with knowledge of science and technology in accordance with their major, but are also trained to have soft skills to assist them in developing excellent personality, strong self-independence, and outstanding professionalism.

To achieve these qualities, the students are required to take Personality and Leadership Development Training, Apprenticeship Program, and Al-Islam and Muhammadiyah Program. In addition, UMM students are also given English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses equal to diploma 1 program. The students are also given computer and internet training prior to their first semester. These additional trainings are expected to enhance the quality of UMM graduates and to produce professional scholars who have excellent expertise and skills needed in this global era.
